AfOx is an inter-university platform with its headquarters at the University of Oxford. Its primary mission is to make it easier for researchers at Oxford and other universities in Africa to work together on research projects.

Stipend funding for a period of four years (at a rate of over 22,000 pounds per year), payment of all tuition fees (both for study in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland as well as for study elsewhere), and funding for laboratory expenses, training, and conference travel are all included.
