Atiku and the PDP are consolidating their petitions against Tinubu's victory.

Atikuargued that combining his clients' petitions with those of PeterObiof the Labour Party (LP) and Allied Peoples Movement (APM) would expedite the resolution of the cases.


Represented by one of his attorneys, Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), the former Vice President argued that expeditious hearing of the petitions would serve the interests of justice.

Atiku stated that the ultimate purpose of the petitions is the reason why the petitioners deserve an expeditious hearing, adding that the Electoral Act of 2022 grants the Court the authority to consolidate petitions in the interest of justice.


He insisted that despite being filed by distinct parties, all three petitions target the same 2023 presidential election and Tinubu's declaration as the winner.

He said: The petitions from their contents and foundation are flying together with equal force to the same direction of righting the wrongs in the election

In the meantime, the court's chief justice, Haruna Simon Tsammani, has scheduled a ruling for Tuesday, May 23.
