At Google I/O, the tech colossus announced the long-awaited addition of generative AI to its platforms, such as Google Search. The new Search with AI, known as the Search Generative Experience (SGE), will feature AI-powered snapshots that are useful for common queries, purchasing, and more.

In the coming weeks, Google will make the SGE accessible through Search Labs, a new program that provides access to early initiatives. Google began handing out SGE to users on the waitlist via email on May 25.
How to sign up for the Search Labs waiting list
Those who are intrigued can sign up for Search Labs' waiting list today. This is how.
1. Navigate to the Search Labs webpage
You can sign up by visiting the Google Search Labs homepage.
If you see the error message "Search Labs is currently unavailable for your account," you may be enrolled into a company Gmail account. After signing out of your company email, you can proceed to the next step.

2. Sign in with your Google account
Once on the homepage, you will need to select the blue "Sign in" button in the upper right corner. Sign in with your individual Gmail account.
3. Join the waiting list
After logging in, you'll be redirected to a page where you can join the waitlist by selecting the "Join waitlist" button. Once you do, you are all set.

4. Be patient and wait
Now that you are on the waitlist, all that remains is to wait. Check your email account associated with the account you used to join the waitlist frequently. This is how you will be notified if access has been granted.
