Salvation Army: I Received With Shock Heart-Wrenching Report – Peter Obi Mourns

Saturday, in response to the news of their passing, the former governor of Anambra State expressed his condolences to the ministry via Twitter.

Peter Obi, a presidential candidate in the general elections of 2023, mourned the demise of Salvation Army members on the Benin-Lagos expressway on Thursday, June 29, 2023.

eleven people were killed and eight others were injured in a horrific catastrophe.

The victims, who were Salvation Army members, were returning from a church program in Lagos when their 18-seater Toyota Hiace bus collided head-on with a Dangote Cement lorry at the Ovia River.

Saturday, in response to the news of their passing, the former governor of Anambra State expressed his condolences to the ministry via Twitter.

Additionally, he prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

He wrote: “I received with shock, the heartwrenching report of a fatal road accident involving members of the Salvation Army, which claimed the lives of 12 officers (pastors), a baby and the driver. I sincerely commiserate with the Salvation Army and the respective families of officers who died in the accident. I pray for the quick recovery of the injured. May God grant eternal rest to the dead.”
