Prefixes are names or attributes used to describe magical items, Jewels and Charms. When rare items are used, the same prefixes are used, the names are hidden because rare names are generated randomly, and two rare items with similar stats can have names that are different.
The prefix is the first modification in the item's title like a Bronze Club. A Suffix is the end modifier, such as Bronze Club of Strength.
Affixes are not required to follow classifications for weapons or the standard categorizations for items. This is a list of the things that indicate when affixing them. The equipment on the list also includes those with Exceptional and Elite versions.
+ % to resist fire
The following items with the "Fire Resist +5%" stat and an affixing level of 1 are also spawnable, but this is restricted to items with levels that no exceed 4 (i.e. the items can only be dropped by Level 5 Monsters and higher): Amulets, Belts, Body Armors and Boots. Circlets and Helms. Gloves, Helms, Orbs, Rings, Shields.
Fire resistance is the 2nd most important form of resistance within Diablo II, after lightning. A variety of types of fire damage are in the process of being absorbed over time (firewalls meteors, firewalls) which make the magical damage mods extremely useful when combined.
+ % to Resist Cold
The following items with a "Cold Resist +5%" stat and an affixing level of 1 are also spawnable, but it is only available to items with levels that do no more than 4 (i.e. the items can only be dropped by Level 5 Monsters or higher) Amulets, Belts and Body Armors, Boots, Circlets, Gloves, Helms, Orbs, Rings, Shields.
The ability to resist cold is important however, there aren't many monsters equipped with cold weapons on the map in Diablo II, so it's less significant than Fire or Lightning. The higher resistance to cold seems to cut down the duration of chills and lower damage.
+ % to resist Lightning
The following items with an "Lightning Resist +5 percent" stat and an affixing level of 1 are also spawnable, however this is limited to items with levels that do no exceed 4 (i.e. the items can only be dropped by levels 5 Monsters or above) These include: Belts, Amulets, Body Armors Boots, Circlets and Gloves, Helms, Orbs, Rings, Shields.
Lightning resistance is the most crucial type of resistance in Diablo II and most players strive to maximize this type of resistance in all times.
+ % to resist poison
The following items that come with an "Poison Resist +5 percent" Stat and an affix level 1 may also be created, but this is restricted to items that have levels that do not exceed 4 (i.e. the items can only be dropped by levels 5 Monsters or higher): Amulets, Belts or body Armors as well as Boots. Circlets and Helms. Gloves are also available. Orbs or rings. Shields.
It is by far the least important kind of resistance available in Diablo II, this one can be ignored for majority of the game. In fact, numerous characters have negative poison resistance while taking advantage of the other three. Modifiers that decrease Poison duration are actually more useful, since most poison damage occurs over time, and not as a single painful blow.
Plus % Resist All
Magical only: cannot be found on items that are rare. These amulets are extremely sought-after and easily craftable. Rares could have two prefixes, potentially adding more to two resistances to that resist-all mod. Rings with a prismatic design are less desirable, owing to their very high requirements for Clvl, and it is also easier to find a ring with an increase of 20% to two or three individual resistances.
+ points towards Skill Levels

Amulets with +2 skills are delicious and can be obtained by playing with a higher (85+, 94 or higher ideal) rank character. You can make them with a variety crafting recipes in the event that the character who is cubing the ingredients is at a sufficiently skilled.

+ % chance of finding magical item
Magical only. Cannot be found on items that are rare. - Increases the likelihood that an item, when dropped is magical, Rare, Set or unique (rather than ordinary, cracked or better.) In essence, it transforms ordinary items to magical ones, so can make finding socketed objects hard, and ironically.
- Can be used in conjunction with spells that can be ranged and ranged.
The return is decreasing past 100 percent. Check out the most up-to-date Magic Find Guide.
+ points + points Light Radius
It is a useful mod to have but not really sought out. They can be stacked with +light suffixes of the item in addition to multiple lights that stack as well.
The hit causes monsters to flee (% Chance of Cursing with Terror)
A generally despised modifier; this could degrade a top damage Rare weapon as most prefer a monster to remain still and get attacked, instead of fleeing every time (can be useful for bows, however). The monsters who are blind or frozen do not flee, so using this with Iceblink or Coif of Glory is an alternative.
Add Sockets
Magical only. They cannot be found on Rare items. These mods can be beneficial for the purpose of putting godly jewels into magical items. Jeweler's mod is sought after by people planning to make sockets for rare or magical gems that adds damage and IAS. Unfortunately, magical objects cannot become rune word items, which is why socketing ranes is not a good idea with these mods.
Add More Weapons To Throw
It is one of the most useful mods Javazons have as they need more resources than damage (i.e. lightning fury) These mods can be created on rare items as well, making it suitable for other classes that use throwing weaponry (such such as throw Barbarians).
