Man United have been beaten by Tottenham twice in the Premier League as a result of their own defensive mistakes, but Cristiano Ronaldo has once again provided the spark that has propelled his team to victory.

The now-record holder for the most goals scored in competitive matches did so from a corner, rising to the highest point of the box to land his header into the top right corner of the goal.

In the league this season, it is only the second time United has scored a corner, the other being against Leeds United.

If United can maintain their lead, they will have given themselves a significant advantage in the race for the top four places.
