“Unmistakable signs” of mental health difficulties, says Paul Pogba of Manchester United.

Paul Pogba, a midfielder for Manchester United, has spoken openly about his struggles with depression throughout his professional life.

It was his goal in France's World Cup final victory over Croatia that established him as one of the most exciting young talents in world football. He has won multiple major titles with clubs such as Juventus, as well as the World Cup, where he scored in the final for Les Bleus.

Even said, mental illness may strike anyone at any time, and Pogba told Le Figaro that he believes his behavior has shown symptoms that he has fought with depression.

"I've suffered depression throughout my career, but it's not something we talk about," Pogba admitted, bravely opening out about his struggles.

There are undeniable indicators that you are depressed, even if you aren't aware of it. You just want to isolate yourself and be alone.

It's important to remember that while Pogba hasn't always been at his best for Manchester United, or hasn't always been the most popular player with the supporters, it's also important to remember that we don't always know what's going on in the player's life away from the field.

In bringing these challenges to light, the 29-year-old has done admirably, and one hopes that her example will encourage others to be open and honest about their own difficulties.
