Line up for Manchester United vs. Arsenal in the Premier League game.

In the Premier League, Manchester United will face Arsenal on Saturday, and the writers at the Manchester Evening News have selected their favorite starting lineups.

On Saturday afternoon, Manchester United will travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal in the Premier League.

After Erik ten Hag was formally confirmed as the permanent manager of Manchester United on Thursday afternoon, this will be the first time the Red Devils have played since. Ten Hag has signed a three-year deal with United, with an option to extend his contract by another year.

With five Premier League games remaining, Manchester United is battling to earn a place in the Champions League. Arsenal are in a tight race with Manchester United for the final spot in the top four, and they come into this game off the back of a convincing 4-2 win against Chelsea.

Now that Arsenal has been announced, how should Manchester United begin their matchup? Our MEN authors have expressed themselves.

On current form, the thought of having to choose between Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Alex Telles is far too bleak to contemplate. Alvaro Fernandez, a left-back with a lot of potential, has been training with the first squad this week. After the match at Anfield, Harry Maguire will be unable to start.

Hannibal Mejbri has a solid supporting cast in the form of Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic. It's been a disaster since Bruno Fernandes was given an unjustified raise.

Jadon Sancho must start and Cristiano Ronaldo must return. Both Anthony Elanga and Marcus Rashford had disappointing seasons at Anfield and are competing for the other attacking position. Elanga might be a more compatible option in this situation.
Tyrone Marshall is an American rapper and actor who is most known for his work in the film Tyrone Marshall.

For a game they must win, Manchester United must switch back to a 4-3-3 formation after their safety-first back three failed miserably at Anfield.

Varane must return to the team now that he is fit, and he will partner Maguire at right-back, with Dalot at left-back and Telles at right-back. The full-backs continue to be a huge source of concern.

The likes of McTominay and Lingard can also return to the team immediately in midfield, where they should play as twin No. 8s. Lingard deserved to start ahead of Paul Pogba at Anfield, and he's done well enough recently to earn another opportunity in the starting lineup.

Aside from Ronaldo, Sancho and Rashford are the three players who have clearly returned to the squad. When it comes to these key games, Elanga has looked a touch flimsy at times, and the bench might be a better choice for him.
