Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, founded in 1946, is one of the oldest medical universities in Iran. The university was acquired by the Iranian government to provide MBBS in Iran to all medical students. Its goal is to make better use of national medical resources to improve health, teaching and research.

 

Since its inception, the institution has made a name for itself for producing ambitious students and is currently one of the most prestigious medical universities in Iran. The university offers MBBS courses in English and Persian.

As it is one of the largest medical universities in Iran. Iranian students are recruited to Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (SUMS) through the National Entrance Examination (Konkur) and are registered at the university's main campus.

Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), B.Sc., M. It offers international degree and non-degree programs to international students at various levels and disciplines including .Sc., Ph.D., Specialisation, Sub-specialty and Fellowship. Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (SUMS) is a regional health care provider and primary medical facility in Fars province, with 41 hospitals (14 of which are teaching hospitals).
