The President's PhD Scholarship is awarded to students who have a strong desire to participate in a PhD program at a world-class research institution.

Eligibility Requirements for the PhD Scholarships offered by Imperial College London in 2023
Candidates can be students from any country in the world, regardless of their background or nationality.
The scholarship can be used to pay for either full-time or part-time studies, whichever the recipient choose.
Candidates are required to have received or be on track to receive a first class or equivalent in an undergraduate or integrated masters degree; and/or Candidates with a standalone Master's qualification are required to have achieved a distinction or, where this has yet to have been achieved, be able to provide evidence of high performance that will lead to a distinction.
Rewards for Scholarship Attendance
During the student's time spent pursuing their education, the following benefits are included with each of the fifty eligible scholarships:
Complete coverage of the cost of tuition
A stipend in the amount of £22,900 (at the rate in effect for 2023-24) each year to help with living expenses
A fund for the purchase of consumables equal to £2,000 per year for the first three years of study.
A schedule of one-of-a-kind activities and gatherings organized and presented by the Graduate School
Procedures for Making Applications
Application Procedure: Before submitting an application, you are required to have established communication with a supervisor working in an academic department at Imperial College London and received confirmation that they are willing to oversee your research project. Please be aware that each supervisor is only allowed to oversee a single scholar at any given time. There is no one application form that must be used for each scholarship. Your application for admission to study at Imperial should be submitted using our online admissions system, and then your department will put you up for the scholarship on the basis of your academic merit and potential.
