In its report, the commission established by the Anambra State Government to investigate the controversy surrounding Mmesoma's results revealed this information.

Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, the 19-year-old student accused by JAMB of manually manipulating her UTME result for 2023, has finally confessed to the crime.

In its report, the commission established by the Anambra State Government to investigate the controversy surrounding Mmesoma's results revealed this information.

In the report, the tribunal indicted the 19-year-old girl for forging the 362 score that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board had previously reported.

Before the tribunal, it was revealed that the 19-year-old admitted to forging her result without assistance. She admitted manually increasing her score from 249 to 362 before printing out the altered result at a computer center.

The council of professors and ICT specialists then suggested,

"The Committee invited Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, principal of Anglican Girls' Secondary School, and JAMB personnel to an interactive session.

"JAMB officials led by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the Head of Public Affairs, presented the detailed processes and procedures involved in JAMB admissions, the policy changes that have occurred in the release of UTME scores since 2021, and what transpired between the candidate Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma with registration number: 20230639047FF and JAMB in her quest to obtain her score.

"JAMB disclosed that Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma made multiple requests to the JAMB portal for her results at different times, and each time (four in total), she received the same results from JAMB indicating the candidate's UTME Results, namely: Eng: 64, Phy:54, Bio: 74, Che: 57 with a total aggregate score of 249.

"JAMB revealed that the candidate was informed of her correct JAMB score." Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma had submitted a request to JAMB with a different registration number and a UTME aggregate score of 362, with scores of 98 in English, 89 in Physics, 94 in Biology, and 81 in Chemistry.

"The results she sent were significantly different from the standard JAMB format, and she received an appropriate response stating that her actual score was 249 points."

In addition, a number of red flags were raised by JAMB officials, including a different date of birth, a different Registration Number, and a Notification of Results template that has been obsolete since 2021.

"It was also evident that even the centre name "Nkemefuna Foundation (formerly Thomas Chidoka Centre for Human Development) used for the examination was manipulated, as the candidate used the old name of the centre (Thomas Chidoka Centre for Human Development) in her own manipulated result sheet.

"In Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma's submission, she admitted in front of her principal and the Education Secretary that the JAMB officials' account was a true and accurate account of what occurred.

"She also admitted that she independently manipulated a result using the same Airtel phone number." According to her, she went to the cybercafé (Prisca Global Computers, Uruagu, Nnewi) and printed the manipulated results.

"The Committee attempted to determine her motivation, but Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma remained silent. In their own submissions, the Principal of Anglican Girls' Secondary School, Uruagu Nnewi, and the Education Secretary of the Diocese of Nnewi (Anglican Communion) expressed shock at what transpired in their presence, where Mmesoma admitted to having manipulated her UTME results in order to deceive the school, her immediate family, and the State Government.
