Raphael Varane and Edinson Cavani have returned to training with Manchester United but won't be available for selection against Young Boys on Wednesday.
Interim manager Ralf Rangnick is hopeful both will be available for selection soon but they won't feature in the final Champions League group game at Old Trafford, with United already guaranteed top spot.
Varane has been out since suffering a hamstring injury in the draw with Atalanta five weeks ago but returned to training on the grass at Carrington for the first time on Tuesday.
Cavani's last appearance was in the same game and he has been suffering from discomfort in his tendon, but he trained for the first time on Monday.
"They both cannot play tomorrow but they were part of the traning session today. Edi even yesterday, Rapha it was the first time he was on the pitch with the team," said Rangnick.
"If everything goes well I expect them both back in full training next week so from Monday they will be participating in all training sessions.
"They're both top players. Of course we would be happy to have them on board as soon as possible but, especially with Rapha and his injury record in the past, we need to make sure that we will have him until the end of the season, so it is also about sustainability and not only getting him fit as soon as possible.
