According to Fabrizio Romano, a famous football transfer expert, Bayern Munich have made an initial bid of £12.6 million (€15 million) for the highly-rated midfielder.
Gravenberch, 19, has spent his whole professional career with Ajax, having joined the club's junior academy as a child in 2010.
The Dutch midfielder has played in 98 professional matches for the club, contributing to 24 goals, since making his debut in the club's elite junior divisions.
Gravenberch, despite the fact that he is one of Europe's most highly-rated players and a product of Ajax's own junior program, is unlikely to sign a new contract, prompting his club to contemplate selling him.
During an Ajax game, Ryan Gravenberch is seen in action.
However, despite reports that Manchester United and Barcelona were interested in signing the 19-year-old (Fichajes), it now appears that Bayern Munich will be the team to sign him. The Bavarians are claimed to have surprised Ajax with such a generous opening bid (Telegraaf).
Gravenberch will not be joining Manchester United.
Manchester United's interest in one of Europe's most talented midfielders is unknown, but the club's fans would undoubtedly have hoped for a favourable outcome.
Apart from the fact that the player himself possesses amazing ability and a style of play that appears to be significantly older than his true age, the Red Devils have also been widely linked with the recruitment of Ajax manager Erik ten Hag.
If the club had signed Gravenberch, the United supporters could almost certainly have expected ten Hag to sign with them shortly after.
However, it does not appear as though this will be the case.
