World-class midfielder told to turn down Manchester United and Chelsea offers.

Carlton Cole, a former West Ham striker, has taken a dig at Manchester United in the wake of the club's interest in Declan Rice ahead of the summer transfer window.

Rice has no reason to leave the London Stadium for Old Trafford right now, according to the commentator, who dismisses the idea that joining Man Utd would be an improvement given their current situation.

Cole expressed further support for Rice joining Chelsea, but said that the club's current crisis with owner Roman Abramovich made such a move impossible.

The West Ham manager David Moyes has done a fantastic job with Rice, and Cole reiterated that there was no reason for him to leave the Hammers.

Cole stated, according to the Daily Mail, while speaking at a Bookmakers.com event: "Where is he going? I just don't see him going anywhere, and I don't see [clubs] being able to afford the price.

What next for Declan Rice?

Because of the obvious reasons, I don't think Chelsea can do that right now." After all, where else is he going? Man United, perhaps? No, they aren't in a good situation at the time either, unfortunately. Why would you want to travel to Manchester United when you can stay at West Ham?

"We'll finish ahead of Manchester United, and then what are you going to say?" Nothing, you won't be able to simply go and recruit our finest players. No one will stay with us. We'll finish above Man United, and no one will stay with us. He's going to be staying at the greatest club available.

This is especially true if they bring in another striker who complements his approach; you've already had [Tomas] Soucek in place; bring in another striker and all of this discussion will be over at the conclusion of the season."

Rice has no reason to want to leave. As far as I can tell, he is not the type of person who will go after money; otherwise, he would have done so by this point.

The player "is aware of his own personal truths, as well as what he needs to achieve, which is to play regular football, which he is currently doing at West Ham, where he is the main man."

When Rice hears this advice, it will be interesting to see if he takes it into consideration. After all, the England international could be wise to reconsider joining United after so many other world-class players have struggled there.

This isn't the best way for Rice to start what could be a very good career. Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Harry Maguire all looked better before they joined the Red Devils. Rice might also find that it's not the best way to start what could be a very good career.
