Ronaldo and Pogba
To many, Paul Pogba's arrival at Manchester United from Juventus was a big event. However, Wayne Rooney believes that Pogba's time at the club has been marred by the absence of a stable management.
When asked why Pogba's time at Old Trafford hasn't worked out, Rooney added: "There hasn't been a stable manager since Alex Ferguson." So, whoever takes over, they (the board) must allow him time to establish relationships with the players."
For a reported £89 million, Paul Pogba re-joined Manchester United in 2016.
There has been a lot of excitement about the Frenchman since his time at Juventus, but he has never lived up to expectations as a Man United player and has failed to impress Old Trafford supporters since then.
As Rooney points out, since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure in 2013, United have gone through seven different coaches, and none of them were brought in with a certain philosophy or approach in mind.
Since Didier Deschamps took over as France coach in 2012, Paul Pogba has worked closely with him and plays an important part in his team. When he plays for France, the 29-year-old seems to be in a better mood and more focused than he is on his club career.
Because of Pogba's impending free agency this summer, any games he plays for the Red Devils between now and then may be his last. This is ideal for both him and Manchester United.
