On Wednesday night, a number of Manchester United players were spotted out and about in the city of Manchester, celebrating the birthday of Eric Bailly. The Ivorian defender celebrated his 28th birthday earlier this week by dining at Zouk Tea Bar Grill in the heart of Manchester's city centre.
Bailly and some of his United teammates were spotted visiting the restaurant in the middle of the week as they took a break ahead of Sunday's Premier League match against Norwich.
At the restaurant, Manchester United players Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, Alex Telles and Jesse Lingard joined other players like Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jadon Sancho to toast the occasion.
Bailly was the last person to leave the restaurant, at approximately 11.30pm, and he was serenaded with a rendition of 'happy birthday' by a group of teenage fans who had gathered outside the establishment to greet him.
His seven appearances for United this season have come under interim manager Ralf Rangnick, with only three of those outings coming under the Ivory Coast international.
One of the players who could leave the club if assurances aren't offered to him about his playing time under the next manager is Bailly.
After being interviewed last month, Ajax manager Erik ten Hag is expected to be named the club's next first-team manager at the end of the season. The Dutchman will be tasked with the urgent chore of selecting what to do with a variety of peripheral figures at the club.
