A number of limited-run "Edition 55" models, including no fewer than six SUVs that were unveiled today, have been produced by the boys and girls from Affalterbach in order to commemorate this significant milestone. They are derived from the GLE, which has a more conventional design, as well as the GLE Coupe, which has a more streamlined appearance. The GLE's 55, 63, and 63 S versions each have their own unique set of aesthetic modifications.
The GLE Edition 55 harkens back to the 1980s with a retro-flavored side decal that has the renowned emblem on a body that is available painted in either Obsidian Black or Diamond White Bright. Both of these colors are available. The sextuplet rides on forged wheels with a cross-spoke design that are 22 inches in diameter and have a matte gray finish. In the wheel centers, around the three-pointed star, the words "Edition 55" are engraved.

These Mercedes SUVs come equipped with the AMG Night Package, which means that certain of the exterior components are finished in a high-gloss black color. The cosmetic modifications are determined by the primary color that you select for your vehicle, although all of the vehicles have their windows tinted and their quad exhaust points plated in black chrome. The fuel filler cap is plated in silver chrome and has AMG branding on it, which is proof of the attention to detail that was paid to the vehicle.
The interior of the Edition 55 is black and red regardless of the trim level, and the AMG logo is illuminated in red on the door sills of the stainless steel models. In order to emphasize the idea even further, the phrase "Edition 55" has been woven into the custom floor mats using the color red. Nappa leather upholstery, which also covers the center console and door cards, comes standard on the 63 S but can be purchased as an upgrade for the 63 and 53 models. To further illustrate this point, the AMG logo is etched onto the center armrest of the vehicle.
The GLE Edition 55 is already available for pre-order from Mercedes-AMG, and the company plans to keep doing so right up until the end of 2022. You may purchase it as an optional add-on package for a price ranging from €5,950 to €13,090, depending on the GLE model that you purchase. To ensure that you get the most value for your money, Mercedes includes an AMG-branded indoor car cover. Additionally, the GLE 53 and GLE 63 S can be had in the United States as part of the Edition 55 package; however, there are only 55 units of each model available.
