Jumia introduces a rapid trading platform in Nigeria with supply in Lagos in 20 minutes.

Convenient new neighborhood micro fulfilment centers will facilitate quicker and simpler customer deliveries of common goods.

Jumia (NYSE:JMIA), the top e-commerce site in Africa, today announced the launch of Jumia Food Mart, a quick commerce platform in Nigeria designed to satisfy growing consumer demand for quick delivery. With this change, customers will be able to get their online grocery orders in a record-breaking 20 minutes or less, providing the utmost in convenience.

A brand-new idea will revolutionize delivery times for Jumia customers and make online grocery delivery faster than ever before: last-mile delivery via neighborhood micro fulfilment centers.

Additionally, popular, quickly moving consumer goods from top national and international companies, including up to 4,000 items, will be delivered gratis to consumers. More than five places in Lagos are presently serviced, including Victoria Island, Alausa, Opebi, Ikoyi and Lekki.

"We're thrilled to speed up trade in Nigeria and keep giving our customers a fantastic experience. Speed and convenience are more crucial than ever in today's consumer behavior and lifestyles. It's a fantastic accomplishment for our logistics team, who overcame numerous obstacles to make it happen. In our opinion, Jumia's quick commerce service satisfies the need of our customers for convenient, quick delivery of everyday goods, especially in the post-COVID era. According to Jumia Nigeria CEO Massimiliano Spalazzi, "Our mini fulfilment centers within neighborhoods will enable us to deliver to consumers in speedy time."

Nigeria's consumers are anxious to participate in the rapid commerce revolution they see taking place around the world because of the country's young population and developing middle class. According to Zachary Dyce, head of dark stores at Jumia, "We're enthusiastic about the future chances and possibilities in Nigeria. Jumia is the first to provide rapid commerce at this size in Lagos.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, Jumia has seen a significant shift to everyday products as a result of consumers' shifting preferences toward e-commerce. Jumia's new "dark store" concept represents a significant advancement in making online shopping more convenient than ever before. Groceries and other everyday necessities were the top-selling items on Jumia during the epidemic, according to the Africa e-commerce study Jumia Africa E-Commerce Index 2021, which is a report.
