The Everscale Foundation is now formally recognized as a charitable organization with the intention of fostering the expansion of the Everscale network's ecosystem, luring new developers, and further broadening the reach of the global community. The goal of the Foundation is to eradicate the obstacles that stand in the way of Everscale's interaction with the outside world.

Late in the year 2021, the Everscale community rallied behind a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) campaign to develop a physical manifestation of the network. The Everscale Foundation, a non-profit organization, has now officially begun operations in Zug, Switzerland, which is widely regarded as the premier location for the establishment of international NPOs. All of the required registration processes were finished by the end of August of this year. The Everscale Foundation is beginning to carry out its responsibilities in the following primary areas, which are all completely in line with the initial goal for the organization:

Representation

The Everscale Foundation will broaden the network's exposure and serve as a centralized point of access for many parties, including journalists, developers, influencers, government organizations, and others. The Foundation will establish the necessary interfaces and will organize professional working groups to do so. These may involve marketing, public relations, and general community projects.

Grant Program

The Foundation will be the first stop for qualifying projects that wish to develop and produce their goods and enterprises on Everscale. These initiatives can expect to receive funding and support from the Foundation. The Foundation may provide funding to initiatives that are deemed to contribute the most to the overall value of the network. These may include developers of fundamental infrastructure (nodes, system utilities, and the like), as well as a variety of initiatives in the DeFi, NFT, GameFi, metaverse, and IoT spheres, or other areas, as selected by voting by Foundation members in accordance with the existing market environment.

The Administration of Intellectual Property

The Foundation will be responsible for storing the essential intangible assets of the network, such as trademarks, domain names, patents, and the like, and will defend these rights in legal proceedings if necessary.

Support for Legal Matters and Compliance

The Everscale Foundation will take the lead in preparing and keeping up-to-date versions of the relevant legal documentation in order to provide a better understanding of Everscale and to facilitate listings of ecosystem tokens on exchanges, trackers, and analytical resources. This will include, but is not limited to, legal opinions, compliance policies, and other such things.

Promotion and Widespread Use of the Product

The Everscale Foundation will play a role in promoting both the network and its ecosystem. This may involve the foundation's participation in a variety of industry events, the publication of content, the formation of public opinions on a variety of industry topics, and the foundation's participation in industry working groups to represent the ecosystem's and the industry's interests.

The Everscale Foundation will not become the centralized governance system for the Everscale network, despite the fact that it has been designated to carry out a broad spectrum of important responsibilities as part of the appointment process. Everscale, by virtue of the fact that it is decentralized by its very design, has a large number of passionate and supportive individuals and institutions that are forming alliances and unions to boost the growth of the network; the Foundation is just one of these. The Everscale Foundation will not in any way be in charge of Everscale; rather, it will simply carry out the responsibilities that have been assigned to it by the general public within the parameters of the funding that has been provided. The public consensus that is formed through voting using Everscale's native tokens, known as EVERs, is the only kind of true control that is achievable within the Everscale network. The decisions made by the Foundation do not have any legal ramifications for members of the Everscale community; however, the Foundation is able to function and sign any agreements on its behalf within the scope of its powers.
