PDP National Chairman Dr. Iorchia Ayu, the chairman of the new PDP council, described Senator Adolphus Wabara as a well-trained senior politician, saying the party needed diplomatic skills at the time.
He called on the new bot president to use his diplomatic experience to reach out to all affected party members to form a united front against all progressive parliaments in power until 2023. Ayu said in a statement by Simon Imobo-Tswam, Special Adviser on Media and Communications, as he mourned Wabara while leading members of the PDP National Working Committee on Friday.
The former Senate President has taken over as acting BoT chairman of the party after Ambassador Waleed Jibrin resigned on Thursday. Former Senate President Ayu told the Acting BoT Chairman that the leadership of the party has agreed to come to Port Harcourt early next week to meet Governor Nyesom Wike Rivers for full reconciliation.
Bear: “I'm asking you to help me reach all the injured members. “I, the candidate and the entire NWC have reached out to Governor Wike, all the governors and all those who are disaffected and fully support the return of the PDP family to work with them.
“If we do not win next year's general election, Nigerians will be disappointed and the hopes of Nigeria depend on us. “The new bot president with diplomatic experience. Please use your diplomatic skills to contact all affected members and let you know that we have full support, including the presidential and vice presidential candidates who called 30 minutes before arrival.
"You have our support," he said. The entire muzzle must pick them up and approach them. We invite them to come back and work together. I would also like to introduce Amb, UNT's Country Vice President. Ilya Damagun, as well as the government. Wike, but offended. This is a unanimous decision of the NWC and we hope that your leadership will be beneficial in the struggle for peace and full harmony within the party. “There's a time to get angry and a time to stop. So please reach out to all affected members and help them heal the party in their new role as bot party president."
A. You are the Acting Chairman of the BoT. Adolph Wabara thanked the National President and other members of the NWC and paid tribute to the goodwill, support and sympathy shown.
It will be recalled that Governor Rivers and his supporters called for Ayu to step down as the PDP National Chairman. Ayu's position of not going to Wike alone may not be separated from Wike's position that she (Ayu) should become the first opposition party chairman and they never asked Jibrin to resign as BoT chairman of the party.
