Four players missing from Manchester United's FC Sheriff training squad

On Wednesday morning, Luke Shaw participated in Manchester United's training session with the rest of the team as they prepared for their second encounter in the group round of the Europa League against FC Sheriff.

Shaw has been sidelined for two of the last three matches with a foot injury, and Donny van de Beek did not play in either of the team's two most recent matches (a win over Arsenal and a loss to Real Sociedad). It was not a public training session.

On Tuesday afternoon, Van de Beek attended the match between his former team, Ajax, and Liverpool in Kirkby as a guest of his former club, Ajax, who was playing in the UEFA Youth League.

Right-back The 18-year-old Marc Jurado participated in United's training session once again, having previously trained with the first squad earlier in the week.

Marcus Rashford and Aaron Wan-Bissaka chose not to take part in the open session. Wan-Bissaka was supposed to be on the bench for the loss to Sociedad the week before, but he ended up in the directors' box shortly before the game started. On the other hand, Rashford did not show up at all. Anthony Martial has not yet returned to the lineup.

Real Sociedad has issued a statement expressing their condolences following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

On Thursday, the British monarch passed away at the age of 96, after serving as head of state for 70 years.

United will depart for Chisinau later today, and Erik ten Hag will preside over the news conference for his team's pre-match preparations later this evening.

Academy goalkeeper Radek Vitek, center back Tyler Fredricson, midfielders Zidane Iqbal and Kobbie Mainoo, and attackers Anthony Elanga, Shola Shoretire, and Charlie McNeill were all added to the B list for the Manchester United team last week.

McNeill, who turned 19 on Friday, made his debut for United in a match versus Sociedad and then trained again this morning. McNeill also celebrated his birthday on Friday.

United will almost certainly go nearly six years without winning a major trophy, and the Europa League was the most recent competition that they triumphed in back in 2017.
