After Bruno Fernandes yelled at teammates, Man Utd dressing room called "lazy"

When he thinks that something needs to be said, the Portugal international is not exactly known for keeping his temper in check, and this incident with his United teammates is no different from the norm.

The title of "lazy" has been given to Manchester United as a result of Bruno Fernandes' harsh criticism of the team during an enraged rant. This criticism came after Manchester United was soundly defeated by their city-based rivals, Manchester City, earlier this month.

Both Erling Haaland and Phil Foden scored a hat trick to help Pep Guardiola's team cruise to a 6-3 victory over their local rivals at the Etihad Stadium. The victory was made possible by the efforts of both players. Anthony Martial scored twice in the final minutes of the game, and Antony scored once in the first half, saving the blushes of Erik ten Hag's team, which was comfortably in second place throughout the entire match.

Since then, it has been reported that Fernandes did not hold back when telling his teammates exactly what he thought of their efforts as a group collectively. The 28-year-old was one of two players, along with summer signing Lisandro Martinez, who screamed and shouted in the locker room while Ten Hag let the entire situation play out. Lisandro Martinez was the other player.

Former West Ham striker Frank McAvennie, who praised the former Sporting star for saying what he thinks, has given Fernandes some support. Some people may feel that Fernandes' outburst is not helpful towards the team's morale. However, McAvennie has given Fernandes some support.

"It is embarrassing to get beaten," said an ex-Hammer Football Insider. "When you are getting beaten, it is embarrassing." "Fernandes has been there; he has seen it; he has experienced it. It's a good thing that he's screaming at the players.

"[Cristiano] When Ronaldo arrived, he attempted to talk to them, but he said that nobody was interested in what he had to say. That is such a scathing remark to make about someone. The fact that Fernandes is yelling and acting out is encouraging, and they should do more of it. It makes no difference who the manager is because even the most skilled leader in the world would not be able to lead that team to victory.

"There are an excessive number of slackers, an excessive number of people who do not pursue the ball or perform the fundamental tasks. They are embarrassing themselves by throwing their hands up in the air after losing possession of the ball. Players have to be vying for their positions and giving it their all. They must be goofing off during the training session. My impression is that the team is completely disorganized."

Bruno Fernandes was furious after the recent derby defeat

Whatever Fernandes said in the aftermath of City's lopsided victory proved to be effective, as United bounced back with victories in their next two matches against Omonia and Everton respectively.

The second of those two victories was especially significant taking into account that United had been passed by Newcastle earlier in the weekend as a result of the Magpies' 5-1 thrashing of Brentford.

After the victory at Goodison Park, exactly one week after his outburst at Etihad Stadium, Fernandes gave an interview to BT Sport in which he discussed the "togetherness" in the team.

He asserted that the three points were significant for his team and that it was essential to get back on the path to victory. "We want to show this spirit, this togetherness, and we need to carry this on because this is what made us win four games in a row and what made us win today," he said. "We need to continue this because it is what made us win today."
