The Manchester United midfielder was forthcoming about his experiences at the club and named the teammates with whom he has developed the strongest bonds throughout his time there.
Manchester United midfielder Casemiro named Cristiano Ronaldo, Diogo Dalot, Fred and Antony as the teammates he is closest to at the club.
Erik ten Hag made a total of six new signings this summer, and one of them was the Brazilian. The other five were Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Antony, and Martin Dubravka. All of these players joined United before the deadline on September 1.
Casemiro has been given a gradual introduction to life at the club; in fact, he did not start his first league match until the previous weekend, when Manchester United defeated Everton 2-1 at Goodison Park. Following a dominant performance in the middle of the field that earned him the "man of the match" award, the formerly of Real Madrid player appears to be in line for a string of games with the first team.
It may take some time for Casemiro to adjust to life at his new club, but thankfully, there are a number of players on United's roster who he is already familiar with. The 30-year-old player opened up about how he is adjusting to his new surroundings by naming a few players he was familiar with prior to his arrival at Old Trafford as well as those he gets along with the best.
The club media quoted him as saying, "I had already played with [Raphael] Varane, Fred, Cristiano [Ronaldo], and Antony." When you work side by side with someone on a regular basis, you quickly become aware of their strengths and weaknesses. Genuinely devoted, modest, and diligent in their work. My opinion is that the club is extremely strong in terms of the quality of its players, and not just the players; the manager is also very strong. We are making steady progress, we are currently enjoying a winning streak, and overall, we are flourishing; all of these things are extremely significant for us.
"I’m closest to Cristiano, Diogo [Dalot], Fred and Antony. My impression is that the locker room is laid back; everyone puts in a lot of effort, and they all have a lot of respect for the badge, the club, and their teammates. I believe that putting in a lot of effort is the most important thing. There is, of course, time for work, and there is also time for goofing off, and I believe that balance is what's most important."
