Marcus Rashford listed clubs he'd join as Man Utd race against time.

Marcus Rashford's current contract with Manchester United has less than a year left on it, but the club is seeking to lock the forward down to a new deal in advance of the World Cup.

Due to the fact that Marcus Rashford's current contract will expire in the summer of 2019, Manchester United are in a race against the clock to determine the future of their forward.

Rashford, who is 25 years old, has been one of Erik ten Hag's most impressive players thus far this season. The forward has scored seven goals in just 16 matches so far. On Sunday, he scored his 100th goal for the Red Devils, which happened to be the game-winning goal in United's 1-0 victory over West Ham United. His goal was a header that went into the net.

However, Rashford's current contract, which pays him £200,000 per week, will expire in June 2023, and he is currently in the final eight months of the deal. According to the Daily Mail, there is an option to extend his deal by an additional year, and United could either trigger that or offer him fresh terms given his impressive start to the season. Alternatively, there is also an option to extend his deal by an additional year.

Marcus Rashford can talk with international teams from January 1 unless he signs a new contract.

As things stand, Rashford is willing to start talking to clubs outside of England on January 1 and is open to the possibility of reaching a pre-contract agreement with one of them, which would result in him moving to another team in the summer of 2019. In August, Paris Saint-Germain expressed interest in signing the England international striker, and during the summer, the striker's representatives met with club executives to discuss the possibility of signing the player.

And Rashford has already said in the past that he would be open to moving to a different country. He has named Real Madrid and Barcelona as clubs that he would consider joining if the opportunity were to present itself. In an interview conducted by the Guardian in May of 2021, Rashford was asked if he would be interested in playing professionally in another country. In response, Rashford stated, "I would never say no."

"Anything else besides United? Real Madrid and Barcelona are two of my favorite football teams because they have consistently fielded talented squads and displayed entertaining styles of play. Real Madrid and Barcelona are two teams that everyone follows."

United are hoping to reach an agreement with the forward to secure his long-term future at Old Trafford. However, it may be difficult for the two parties to come to terms on a new contract before the new year, particularly if Rashford is selected to play for England in the World Cup this month. The forward who was born in Wythenshawe has a chance of being recalled to the Three Lions squad in advance of the tournament in Qatar.

The Red Devils are going to activate the 12-month extension that is built into Rashford's contract. This will give them the opportunity to negotiate a new long-term contract with the player at some point in the future. The Red Devils are going to do this so that they can buy themselves some time to get a lengthy deal done. Following his breakout season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2019, Rashford finally committed to an extension of his previous deal.

As a result, Rashford had his most productive season to date in the 2019–20 campaign, scoring 22 goals to help United sneak into the Champions League qualification spots. This was Rashford's most prolific season to date. He carried over his impressive play into the following season, scoring 21 goals in 57 matches despite playing the final few months of the season with a shoulder injury. He continued to show impressive form in the seasons that followed.

Because of this, Rashford was unable to take part in Euro 2020, and he ended up having to have surgery to correct the issue after the tournament was over. Because of this, the forward was unable to participate in the opening stages of the season, and he was unable to overcome this obstacle. During Ralf Rangnick's tenure as manager, Rashford's playing time was reduced, and he ended up scoring only five goals in 32 games.

But Ten Hag appears to have given Rashford a helping hand, and the young player's self-assurance is beginning to return after a trying year. The man who graduated from the United academy and is now the club's manager has heaped praise on the Dutchman for the impact he has had since taking over in the summer.

According to Rashford: "When participating in a sport that requires teamwork, it is important for everyone to stay together. The most important change is that there is a more positive energy within the entire team as well as at the training ground. It is the same information that Ten Hag brought up as soon as he entered the room."
