Sancho, Martial, Antony—Manchester United injury update before Aston Villa match.

The most up-to-date injury reports coming out of Manchester United in advance of their Premier League matchup with Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday.

Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial, and Antony may miss Aston Villa.

Manchester United will visit Villa Park on Sunday to spoil Unai Emery's first game as Aston Villa head coach.

The Reds, who blew a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 on their last visit to Villa Park, will look to build on their recent form and extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to ten matches. Even though they finished second in Group E, Thursday's Europa League win over Real Sociedad continued their recent improvement. United will be heavy favorites against Villa in the first of two matches in five days due to their table lead. Villa are anxiously above the relegation zone while Liverpool are one point from the top four.

As new head coach Emery takes over on Sunday, Villa should present a tougher challenge than in recent weeks. He replaced Steven Gerrard last month.

Given their form, United will pose a challenge. MEN Sport reviewed all United injury news before the Midlands match.

Raphael Varane

As he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury, the central defender will not be able to play for his team when they travel to Villa. As a result of his injury, which occurred two weeks ago during United's 1-1 draw with Chelsea, he will not play for the team again before the World Cup.If he continues to make progress in his recovery, there is a possibility that he will be able to play for Qatar in France; however, this will depend on how his condition evolves. United has won their last three matches without him and has kept a clean sheet in each of those matches. The manager Erik ten Hag stated the following the previous week: "I think so (he will be fit for the World Cup), but the prognosis, we have to wait and see how it develops, how his rehabilitation develops."

Jadon Sancho

As a result of his illness, Sancho was unable to participate in the most recent matches against West Ham United and Sociedad. It is currently unknown whether or not Ten Hag will consider using Sancho in the upcoming match against Villa. Due to the fact that the England international, who has three goals to his credit so far this season, has been struggling for form as of late, it is possible that he will not be rushed into making his return as quickly as he typically would be.

Jadon Sancho has missed the last two matches through illness.

 Anthony Martial

After making his first start of the season against Everton a month ago, the Frenchman suffered a back injury and has been sidelined for the last seven matches that United has played. Because of the injury, he was taken out of the game with just under half an hour remaining, which dealt a fresh blow to his hopes of becoming a regular at Old Trafford once more.

This week, Martial made his comeback to first-team training, which indicates that he is inching closer towards a comeback from his most recent layoff. Martial has shown glimpses of promise when healthy throughout the course of this season. As was the case with Sancho, it is unknown at this time whether or not he will be able to take on Villa in the matchup.

Antony
Along with Sancho, Antony has been absent for both of United's most recent matches. He has been dealing with a leg injury, which means that both his and Sancho's absences couldn't have come at a more inconvenient time for the team.

Because United has been left with a limited number of attacking options, players such as Anthony Elanga and Alejandro Garnacho have been called upon to fill in. It is currently unknown whether or not the Brazilian will be passed fit to face Villa in the upcoming matchup.

Ten Hag was asked about Sancho, Martial, and Antony, and he responded by saying, "It's difficult to say at this moment. I need to have a conversation with the performance staff as well as the medical staff.

They ran a program in Manchester, and I need to find out how successful that program was, as well as whether or not they are available on Sunday.
