Arsenal’s Ben White is set to be named in England’s 2022 FIFA World Cup squad after Chelsea’s Reece James confirmed that he would miss the tournament in Qatar due to injury.

James, who was aiming for the Three Lions’ first-choice right-back, sustained a knee injury in mid-October.

White offers another option at both right-back and centre-half, having impressed under Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta this season.

The report added that Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford is set to be recalled to the England squad for the World Cup, with Leicester City’s James Maddison likely to miss out.
