Manchester United think Ronaldo's criticisms are unfair.

Cristiano Ronaldo is taking control of his own narrative while playing a supporting role for Manchester United, but the club believes that he is being unjust in his criticism.

Ronaldo's victim narrative is riddled with inconsistencies

Cristiano Ronaldo's criticism of Manchester United's handling of the situation surrounding his absence from the pre-season tour is seen as unfair by Manchester United. In a contentious interview with Piers Morgan on Talk TV, Ronaldo asserted that key figures at Manchester United "didn't believe that something was going wrong" when his infant daughter was admitted to the hospital in July with bronchitis. Ronaldo made this claim in response to Morgan's questioning.

It is believed that senior United figures have refuted Ronaldo's accusation and maintained that they were compassionate in allowing the Portuguese player to miss the pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia. Ronaldo claims that United did not show compassion for him.

In the video clip of Ronaldo's interview with Morgan, he is not questioned about his camp telling a preferred journalist at the time that they were impressed by the human touch shown by chief executive Richard Arnold. This is despite the fact that the event in question occurred.

Throughout the summer, Ronaldo and his agent, Jorge Mendes, kept in contact with Arnold and football director John Murtough. On the 25th of July, when Ronaldo reported for pre-season training, he did so with Mendes by his side.

United is also baffled by Ronaldo's criticism of the facilities at their Carrington training complex, which recently underwent renovations to their expansive dining room and pool area.

A sense of regret has spread throughout the United staff and player roster in the wake of Ronaldo's explosive interview with Morgan. Players for United didn't find out about the unauthorized chat until Sunday evening, when they were flying back to Manchester from London, where they had just won 2-1 against Fulham.

After Ronaldo stated that he has "no respect" for manager Erik ten Hag, there is a growing belief at United that he has played his last game for the club. This belief is gaining momentum. United acknowledges and appreciates Ronaldo's legendary status and harbors the hope that the two parties can eventually part ways amicably. Even though the first part of Cristiano Ronaldo's two-part interview is scheduled to air tonight, it is unlikely that Manchester United will engage in any kind of smear campaign because they issued a statement on Monday saying that they "will consider its response after the full facts have been established."

Ten Hag is unconcerned about the circumstance because he previously censured Ronaldo for refusing to come off the bench during their match against Tottenham FC four weeks ago. According to our sources, Ten Hag's initial reaction to hearing about Ronaldo's interview was one of disappointment rather than anger.

United's players who did not take part in the World Cup are scheduled to resume their normal training schedule on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the United manager traveled to Nyon, Switzerland, to participate in the Uefa coaches' forum.
