Most Manchester United players think Cristiano Ronaldo should retire.

After saying that he doesn't respect Erik ten Hag, Cristiano Ronaldo almost certainly played his final game for Manchester United. This is almost a certainty.

The vast majority of players at Manchester United are of the opinion that Cristiano Ronaldo should not return to the club in any capacity. As a result of Ronaldo's explosive interview with Piers Morgan on Talk TV, in which he stated that he has "no respect" for manager Erik ten Hag, the club is now considering terminating his contract. Ronaldo's comments have caused a lot of controversy.

The majority of Ronaldo's teammates believe that the Portuguese player should now leave the club before the transfer window in January comes to a close, according to sources within the dressing room who spoke with the Manchester Evening News.A number of players would rather compete in games without Ronaldo, with Bruno Fernandes in particular being acutely aware of the diminishing significance of his contributions to the team ever since Ronaldo's return to United in August 2021.

An awkward exchange between Fernandes and Ronaldo was caught on camera when Fernandes reported to the Portugal national team training camp in Qeiras. However, sources from United suggest that Fernandes was exhausted after a delayed flight, which may have contributed to the exchange.

However, people who are close to some of the senior players have stated that there has been "friction" between Ronaldo and Fernandes for a while now. When Ronaldo has been absent from the lineup this season, Fernandes has been able to score all three of his goals for the team.

In his interview with Morgan, Ronaldo stated that certain figures at United do not want him to be a part of the club, and that a minority of the United squad blamed him for the disastrous 2021-22 season that the club experienced.

Some of the team's players have expressed fear when Ronaldo has been on the field, and others have expressed annoyance that his negative attitude has overshadowed recent victories, such as the one against Fulham on Sunday.

After the game, when they were on the plane heading back to Manchester from London, United players learned about Ronaldo's interview for the very first time. The fact that Ronaldo was sick during the team's victories over Aston Villa and Fulham the week prior led some of Ronaldo's teammates to have a negative reaction to the timing of the interview.

Ronaldo completed his most recent workout with the United squad on Wednesday, whereas he worked out with his teammates from Portugal on Monday and Tuesday.

On Wednesday evening, the first segment of the two-part interview that Ronaldo did with Morgan is going to be broadcast.
