The attacking player for Manchester United named Jadon Sancho did not make the cut for England's World Cup squad, which will compete in Qatar.
Neymar, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil, has inadvertently hinted that Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho ought to be included in England's World Cup squad.
Neymar, who has appeared for his country 121 times and has scored 75 goals and registered 54 assists, is currently preparing for the upcoming tournament in Qatar, where Brazil is favored by many to win the trophy in December.
In the course of their conversation about opposing players, the PSG forward referred to the Reds winger Sancho as a "incredible" player. This was despite the fact that Gareth Southgate did not include the 22-year-old in his World Cup squad.
Neymar was asked about England's chances at the upcoming tournament during an interview with the Telegraph. The question was directed toward England. The Brazilian suggested that there is a possibility that the Three Lions will be able to win the trophy, but he didn't appear to be aware that Sancho was not a part of the squad.
I had completely forgotten about England, but it's clear that they still have a shot! Neymar said. "I have a lot of respect for both Harry Kane and Jadon Sancho. They are two outstanding players, and I hold a special place in my heart for them because I admire players who possess qualities similar to theirs.
Since moving to Manchester United in 2021 from Borussia Dortmund for a reported fee of approximately £73 million, Sancho has not been able to find his form. After 52 games, he only has eight goals to show for his efforts.
Since October of 2021, the winger has been ineligible to play for his national team, but he has appeared 23 times for the Three Lions. Following that, Southgate did not include him in the squad for the international breaks that occurred in March and June of this year. He was initially cut by Southgate for the World Cup qualifiers against Albania and San Marino in November of last year.
Marcus Rashford, who plays for the same team as Sancho, was called back into the squad for the first time since the conclusion of the Euro 2020 final. Rashford is one of the 26 players in the group.
