Dalot praised Ten Hag

Diogo Dalot wants to show Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag that he deserves the faith that he has placed in him throughout the current campaign.

Dalot was elevated to the position of first-choice right back during the course of the previous season by interim manager Ralf Rangnick, and he has maintained that status for the new campaign following Ten Hag's appointment. As a result, Dalot has started each Premier League game in which he has been available.

The only other players to have played more minutes across all competitions than Dalot are Bruno Fernandes and David de Gea. The fullback has now become an established member of the first team four years after he was signed for £19million.

This season, the 23-year-old player has shown tremendous growth and has made tremendous progress thanks to working under Ten Hag, who he admitted has given him 'confidence,' which is something he is eager to repay on the field of play. The player has gone from strength to strength this season.

Dalot was quoted as saying to the club's media, "The confidence that he's given to me shows the work that I've been doing as well." "Since the beginning of the season, he has been giving me a lot of confidence, and I've been doing everything I can to return some of that favor. Because of him, we have a great deal of room for development, and he is the kind of manager who expects a lot from his players.

"Because this is the way I prefer to work, I believe it's a good match for me, and it just brings me more responsibility to keep getting better and being a better player. I've just focused on staying in shape by playing all of the games and doing everything I can to recover well in between contests.

"I am aware that this is going to be a huge season as well as a long season because of the schedule. There are going to be a lot of games to cover, and I am just going to try my best to be in the best shape possible to assist the team."
