Candidates must demonstrate that they satisfy all of the following conditions in order to be considered for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Cambridge:

  • Must establish that they come from a financially marginalized or economically disadvantaged background in addition to being a citizen of a country on the African continent.

  • You are required to have a regular residence in an African nation, unless you can demonstrate a brief absence for the purpose of employment or study with the intention to return, or unless you have been uprooted from your home in Africa.

  • Must be applying to the University of Cambridge for a Master's degree program that lasts for one year.

  • Prospective Scholars have the ability to apply their knowledge across a diverse variety of fields.

Procedures for Making Applications


Instructions for Applying Those who are interested in applying for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Cambridge must first submit an application for admission into a program at the University of Cambridge that is eligible before the application deadline.

After that, applicants will be needed to submit a separate application form in order to be considered for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars program before the application deadline.
