Fully Funded Commonwealth Shared Masters Scholarships 2023/24

For the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2023/24, candidates from Commonwealth nations with the required qualifications are encouraged to submit their applications for master's degree programs at universities in the United Kingdom.

Scholarships to be Shared Across the Commonwealth 2023–2024 | The Criteria for Eligibility
Candidates must demonstrate that they satisfy all of the following conditions in order to be eligible for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships for Masters Studies in the United Kingdom:

  • Applicants must either be citizens of one of the qualifying Commonwealth countries, have been awarded refugee status by one of those countries, or be British protected persons.
  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of a Commonwealth nation that is eligible for membership.
  • Be ready to begin their academic studies in the United Kingdom by September 2023, the beginning of the academic year in the United Kingdom.
  • Hold a first degree with an honors level of at least upper second-class (2:1) or a lower second-class degree (2:2) and an appropriate postgraduate certification (often a Master's degree) by September 2023.
  • Not having spent at least one (academic) year working or studying in a nation with a high per capita income.
  • Without this Scholarship, I would not be able to finance the tuition at an institution in the UK.
  • Have delivered all of the necessary supporting documentation in the format that was requested


Rewards for Scholarship Attendance



  • The cost of an approved flight from the Scholar's home country to the United Kingdom and back at the end of their Scholarship will be covered by the Canadian Scholarship Corporation (the CSC will not reimburse the cost of fares for dependents, nor will it cover the cost of journeys made before the award is confirmed).
  • Approved tuition fees: the whole fees are covered by an agreement between the CSC and the UK institution, and Scholars are not obliged to pay for any part of the tuition charge. Scholars will not be required to pay for any part of the tuition price.
  • A stipend, sometimes known as a living allowance, at the rate of £1,236 per month (rates cited at current levels), or £1,516 per month for individuals attending institutions in the London metropolitan region (rates quoted at current levels) - paid for and sponsored by the university.
  • In cases when it is necessary, the university will provide a warm clothing allowance that is both paid for and sponsored by the institution.
  • Award for the preparation of a thesis or dissertation, which may be claimed from and paid for by the institution; this grant is sponsored by the CSC.
  • Grants for study-related travel expenses that may be claimed from and paid for by the institution; these grants are financed by the CSC and can be used for travel within the UK or internationally.
  • Claim made against and payment made by the university; funding provided by the CSC for the contribution towards the cost of an obligatory tuberculosis (TB) test, when necessary for a visa application (receipts must be given).
  • Child allowance of £529 per month for the first child and £131 per month for the second and third child under the age of 16, if Scholars are accompanied by their children and they are living with them at the same address in the UK. If Scholars have children and are widowed, divorced, or a single parent. Child allowance of £529 per month for the first child and £131 per month for the second and third child under the age of 16.   • Scholars disclose that they have a handicap, the CSC will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of their requirements and determine whether or not they are eligible for additional financial support.

Procedures for Making Applications


Instructions for Applying: Individuals who are interested in applying for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2023/24 are required to apply and secure admission to study an approved Master's course at a participating UK university in addition to applying for a Commonwealth Shared Scholarship via the online application system provided by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC).

The deadline for applications is December 13th, 2022 at 16:00 GMT.
