Tinubu names Femi Gbajabiamila as his chief of staff.

President Bola Tinubu reportedly appointed Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, as his Chief of Staff two days after his inauguration.

In an interview with PM News on Thursday, Gbajabiamila's aide Olanrenwaju Smart stated that his boss was appointed by the President after several hours of consultations and meetings.

Smart stated that Tinubu chose the Speaker in order to find someone who could help him convince National Assembly members to approve his proposals and policies.

He added that Gbajabiamila was chosen by the President following a Thursday morning meeting with stakeholders at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Gbajabiamila, who had not yet received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), would forfeit his election to the House of Representatives for a sixth term.

This development would also generate a new opportunity for party members who had abandoned their bid to represent Surulere Constituency 1 in the House of Representatives.

I think the reason for appointing him is best known to him. Whether is to enable him have all his proposals and policies approve or not.
