Amad Diallo Stuns Fans by Snubbing Man Utd Legend for Ex-Defender, even fans couldn’t believe it

After selecting a former Red Devils defender above a club veteran, Manchester United's Amad Diallo made an unexpected decision that shocked the supporters.

Erik ten Hag's team is anticipated to have significant success from the 22-year-old Manchester United player in the 2024–25 Premier League season.
Following a pre-season injury in 2023, Amad Diallo missed the first few months of the 2023–24 season before making a comeback to compete for a spot in the starting lineup.

Although man United supporters wanted to see more of the Ivorian forward on the field, he struggled to get consistent playing time under Erik ten Hag's coaching staff last season.

However, Diallo made the most of his opportunities and left his mark on the field, winning the FA Cup quarterfinals against Liverpool with a spectacular goal.

The United winger is now fighting for a starting spot in the squad after putting on a fantastic display for the Red Devils during the summer preseason.

Man Utd star Diallo plays ‘this or that’

Amad Diallo participated in a "this or that" challenge with former great players and was featured in a video for the Manchester United Foundation on Instagram.

The Ivory Coast international was made to select individuals from United who would play in the September 7th "legends match" at Old Trafford versus Celtic.

First, Diallo went with United great Paul Scholes over Nicky Butt, then he went with Dimitar Berbatov over Diego Forlan.

The former Atalanta star believed that Darren Fletcher and Antonio Valencia would be his last two choices despite having difficulty making up his mind.

Diallo snubs Man Utd legend

Denis Irwin and Wes Brown, two United legends, were introduced to Diallo after Darren Fletcher vs. Antonio Valencia.

After a little silence, Diallo shocked the crowd by selecting former Red Devils defender Wes Brown over Denis Irwin.

Perhaps the greatest left-back in United's history, Irwin, an Irishman who is 58 years old, had amazing success at Old Trafford.

After his incredible career, the former United full-back is held in great regard; Red Devils legend Sir Alex Ferguson even gave Irwin the highest praise.

Andy Cole, the famed former Red Devils striker, and legendary former United captain Bryan Robson were Diallo's last "this or that" choices.

On this occasion, though, the Ivorian attacker made no hesitations and chose United great Andy Cole over Bryan Robson.
