Man United have a five-man management shortlist, with one surprise addition.

According to reports, Manchester United have added Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui to their five-man shortlist of potential managerial candidates for the summer transfer window.

Following the dismissal of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer earlier in the season, Ralf Rangnick is presently serving as interim manager at Old Trafford, with a new permanent appointment likely ahead of next season.

Mauricio Pochettino, Erik ten Hag, Thomas Tuchel, and Luis Enrique are all being considered by Manchester United, according to the Guardian.

Lopetegui's appointment as Manchester United's new manager seems a little out of place, given that he hasn't won a lot of trophies or had much experience managing such a large organization.

Manchester United are interested in signing Julen Lopetegui.

In his time at Sevilla, the Spanish strategist has made an impression, but he also had a brief and disappointing stint at Real Madrid, and he doesn't appear to be the kind of large figure that is required to take on such a difficult assignment at United at this moment.

Even if United were able to acquire Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, the club's fans would likely be pleased with most of the other names on the list.
