Gary Neville, a former Manchester United player, takes aim at Avram Glazer on Twitter.

As part of the preparations for a T20 Cricket league launch next year, Avram Glazer visited the United Arab Emirates.

After Avram Glazer's trip to the United Arab Emirates to meet with the chairman of Dubai's Sports Council to discuss cricket, former Manchester United right-back Gary Neville took to social media to criticize the co-chairman of the club.

After Manchester United's Champions League exit, Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met with Glazer on Thursday, less than 48 hours after the defeat by Atletico Madrid. A few hours later, Mansoor bin Mohammed tweeted that he and Glazer had discussed the possibility of launching a United cricket squad.

"To further Dubai's reputation as a global athletic centre, I met with Manchester United co-chairman Avram Glazer today. Aside from that, we talked about the UAE T20 Cricket League, which will begin in January 2023 and will include teams like the Manchester United cricket squad among others."

United, according to the Manchester Evening News, does not intend to start a cricket squad of their own. Glazer was approached about the possibility, but the team has no plans to pursue it.

Neville, on the other hand, has slammed Glazer for ignoring the chronic issues at Old Trafford in favor of cricket. United might miss out on next season's Champions League if they fall out on the top four this year.

In spite of the coming catastrophe, it looks that Glazer's priorities are elsewhere, in Neville's opinion. He wrote on Twitter: "He must have stopped on his way to Manchester for those fans meetups they promised after ESL [European Super League]!!

And so he flies to Dubai to discuss cricket after United's exit from the Champions League."

The Glazers have been the subject of Neville's wrath in the past few years. His most recent attack on Joel, Avram's brother, occurred on Wednesday, when he chastised him for not engaging with the United fans.

Neville said the following to Sky Sports: "Some time ago, Joel Glazer claimed he was going to meet with the fans - planes are open, Joel, you can go there. There are a lot of people here, and we want to see you interact with them."
