If Manchester United wants to keep Cristiano Ronaldo, they would have to accept a hazardous demand.

If Cristiano Ronaldo wants to stay at Manchester United this summer, the club will reportedly have to guarantee him a regular starting spot in the team's starting lineup next season.

In his first season at Old Trafford after signing from Juventus last summer, the Portugal international hasn't had the best of times. The club is a far cry from the force it was during his first stay under Sir Alex Ferguson.

According to Todo Fichajes, Manchester United must make a major decision regarding their plans for the upcoming season since Cristiano Ronaldo has demanded to be a guaranteed starter if he is to continue at the club in order to remain at the club.

Cristiano Ronaldo has struggled at Manchester United this season.

There was a time when this decision seemed like an obvious one; now as Ronaldo is approaching his 38th birthday, the prospect of his playing 90 minutes every week for another year looks dangerous.

If Ronaldo continues to play in Europe, MUFC may be better off moving on without him, even if it is difficult to let this club legend go.
