Man United's attempt to complete a spectacular double deal will be foiled by Cristiano Ronaldo.

In order to complete the spectacular double transfer of Harry Kane and Declan Rice this summer, reports suggest that Cristiano Ronaldo may end up sabotaging the deal.

To prepare for next season, the Red Devils are largely anticipated to spend heavily this summer as they seek to make significant changes under their new management.

Kane's future at Tottenham is in doubt, while West Ham's chances of keeping hold of Rice are also in doubt. Both players have been linked with Manchester United in recent times.

In contrast, Don Balon reports that Rice prefers a move to Chelsea, while Kane remains hopeful of a switch to Manchester City from United.

According to the report, the England duo do not have confidence in Ronaldo and are not interested in playing with the experienced Portugal international.

While Ronaldo has shown glimmers of his former brilliance this season, he is clearly no longer at the pinnacle of his powers, and yet his influence at Manchester United is enormous.

It's looking more and more like bringing Ronaldo back was a mistake, as the presence of the 37-year-old could potentially prevent the club from signing top targets like as Kane and Rice.
