Ten Hag and Pochettino are on  Man United's shortlist for manager.

Premier League team Manchester United is on the lookout for a permanent manager, and the club is evaluating a number of possibilities.

Currently, Manchester United is in the process of hiring a new manager.

Earlier this week, United reportedly conducted interviews with Erik ten Hag, according to the Manchester Evening News. Following initial discussions about the post, club insiders have stated that there is no present front-runner for the position. However, there has been favorable noise surrounding Ten Hag, who is under contract with Ajax until 2023, following first discussions about the position.

United have stated that they are open to all applicants as they continue the process of finding a new manager to take over from Sir Alex Ferguson. Old Trafford is said to be a fan of Ralf Rangnick and four other names, according to reports. Mauricio Pochettino, Luis Enrique, and Julen Lopetegui are all contenders who are currently being considered for the position, but how much do you know about the people who have been linked with the position?

A profile of each of the managers who have a chance to take over on the Old Trafford bench next season has been published by the Manchester Evening News.

Mauricio Pochettino is the manager of the Tottenham Hotspur.
Since his relative success with Tottenham during his five-year stint in London, Pochettino has been linked with the Manchester United position.

He failed to win a trophy during his time as Tottenham manager, despite the fact that they finished second in the Premier League that season and reached the Champions League final two years later (when they were defeated by Liverpool), making him the most successful manager in the club's history.

Pochettino was chosen as the manager of Paris Saint-Germain in January of last year, and his team was defeated to the Ligue 1 title by Lille in what was widely regarded as a significant disappointment by many fans. Despite the fact that Paris Saint-Germain is on course to win the French league this season, they were knocked out of the Champions League Round of 16 by Real Madrid despite holding a two-goal edge over the two legs.

It's possible that PSG's recent struggles, coupled with their reluctance to let Pochettino depart, will change their minds. United inquired about Pochettino's future in October but received no response.

Pochettino has a contract with PSG until the summer of 2023, and the club would have to compensate him handsomely if he were to leave.

Julen Lopetegui is a Spanish footballer who plays in the Premier League.
After Sevilla defeated Manchester United in the Europa League semi-finals in 2020, United fans should be well-versed in the manager's background.

Sevilla went on to win the league that season, defeating Inter Milan 3-2 in the final to maintain their unbeaten record in the competition, and that piece of silverware was actually the first significant honor of Lopetegui's professional career.

When Lopetegui's two-year tenure as coach of the Spanish national team came to an end, it was reported that he would take over as manager of Real Madrid when his contract expired, it sparked outrage throughout the country.

Despite just spending a few months with Real Madrid, the Spaniard has found redemption with Sevilla. In spite of their Europa League exit to West Ham United, Sevilla are second in La Liga under Lopetegui, making him an intriguing prospect for the job.

Sevilla has a deal with Lopetegui that lasts until 2024.

Henrik Ten Hag is an author and illustrator who lives in the Netherlands.
Aside from Pochettino, ten Hag has been heavily associated with the United managerial position since he was the first known interviewee.

Tottenham's Mauricio Pochettino scored a late, dramatic goal in the Champions League semi-finals against Ajax during the 2018/19 season, sending the Dutchman out of the competition. After being quickly disassembled, Ten Hag has reassembled an excellent new crew.

It is believed that Ten Hag is presently the most likely candidate for the position, and the fluid, aggressive, and thrilling football that the 52-year-old has produced on the field for Ajax is considered to have gained him many admirers among those at Old Trafford.

However, it is known that just a modest compensation package will be required for the Ajax manager, who has two years remaining on his contract.

Luis Enrique's full name is Luis Enrique Luis Enrique Luis Enrique
As the most decorated manager in the world, Luis Enrique won the Champions League, two La Ligas, two Copa del Reys, and the FIFA Club World Cup during his time at Barcelona.

Enrique, on the other hand, would likely be the most difficult candidate to persuade to accept the United position in the first place. A former player and coach, he is currently in command of the Spanish national team, who will compete in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar starting in December.

As far as United are concerned, Enrique should be ready after that, but that is too late.

As a result of the current state of flux at Chelsea, rumors have surfaced regarding the future of head coach Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel has made an appeal to Manchester United, although a move to Old Trafford appears unlikely at this time. Despite the fact that Tuchel and Rangnick have a good working relationship, which might be beneficial in future negotiations, the German will remain in London with Chelsea for the time being.
