Several prominent teams have expressed interest in signing Diaby following a streak of strong performances throughout the season, which has resulted in a total of 16 goals and nine assists in 35 appearances.
As a result of their excellent success, Bayer Leverkusen has moved up to third in the Bundesliga table, giving them the best chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season behind only the two front runners, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
"Of course, I'm thinking about it," Diaby was reported as saying by the German website sport.de.
"But not yet. Until the end of the season, I'm still focusing on that point.
Bayern Munich and Dortmund, as well as five wealthy Premier League clubs, are interested in the 22-year-old winger. The report says he wants to move to a new place.
Both of these teams are in the running for a place in the top four. If Diaby decides to move from Germany to England, the draw of Champions League football next season could be a factor.
I think he would be a great fit for both clubs. He is young and exciting and has room to grow.
Nonetheless, transfermarkt's £50m assessment of him demonstrates that it may take an enormous sum to persuade Leverkusen to part with one of their most prized assets.
