At the time of writing, Varane is away on international duty with France, where the national team is preparing to defend their World Cup title ahead of this summer's game in Qatar. Varane has been nominated to Didier Deschamps' starting 11 for France's match against the Ivory Coast on Friday.
However, even though France won the match 2-1, Manchester United's Raphael Varane was seen staggering off the field of play just after an hour had been played.
As reported by MEN, Deschamps confessed to reporters after the game that the imposing centre-back had suffered from a "minor foot injury."
Despite the fact that the severity of the 28-year-injury old's is not yet known, the Red Devils will be crossing their fingers that he will be able to make a full recovery in time for their Premier League match against Leicester City on April 2.
Ralf Rangnick, the interim manager, recently stated that Varane has a history of injury problems.
According to MEN, the German told reporters earlier this year: "I am pleased that he has been able to continue exercising despite having suffered no injuries."
The fact that he has always had to cope with a few injuries has probably been his biggest problem in the first few weeks and months of his career. He was out for another six weeks despite having trained or played in two or three games during that time."
