"I'm the boss," Cristiano Ronaldo, of Manchester United, says when asked about his future.

While there has been speculation that Cristiano Ronaldo may be on the verge of leaving international football, the Manchester United superstar has issued an update on his future plans.

In addition to continuing to play frequently at the highest level for both club and country, the 37-year-old does not appear to have any plans to retire from international football altogether.

Ronaldo is one of the greatest players in the history of the game, and he appears to be well aware of the fact that he is in complete control of his destiny, declaring that he is the "boss" and will continue to play for as long as he wishes.

"I will be the one who decides my destiny," Ronaldo is reported as saying by the Independent. If I get the urge to play more, I'll do so. "I'm the boss, and that's the end of the tale."

Man United's Cristiano Ronaldo in action

In the current state of Ronaldo's game, a manager would be foolish to bench the former Real Madrid and Juventus forward, who has consistently proven himself to be one of the most lethal forwards in world football.

Although Ronaldo has enjoyed a successful season at Manchester United so far, there are some concerns about his long-term future at the club.

Since his return to Manchester United for a second season last summer, the club has regressed, with a top-four finish now appearing increasingly implausible in the Premier League.
