The Manchester United star will not be in the squad to face Leicester City.

For their crucial Premier League match against Leicester City on Saturday, Manchester United are expected to be without star scorer Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports.

It was reported recently by the Manchester Evening News that the Portuguese forward did not arrive at the Lowry Hotel with his colleagues on Friday night, despite the fact that the team had arrived earlier.

Ralf Rangnick, the Red Devils' interim manager, will be hard at work preparing his team for a huge domestic match against Brendan Rodgers' Leicester City, with the outcome of the game expected to have significant ramifications on the fight for the top four.

Ronaldo and his attack partner Edinson Cavani, who just suffered yet another injury while on international duty with Uruguay, are both expected to miss the rest of the season, which will be difficult for the German strategist to cope with.

Ronaldo and Cavani are unlikely to play for United against Leicester City.

With Ronaldo, who was also on international duty for Portugal this week, playing for 180 minutes, it is inevitable that he will require recuperation at the age of 37, despite the fact that he appears to be unstoppable.

Despite Ronaldo's absence, players such as Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, and Bruno Fernandes, who recently signed a new contract with Manchester United that would keep him there until 2017, were present.

Saturday's match between Manchester United and Leicester City is set to begin at 5.30 pm (UK time) and will be televised live on Sky Sports.
