The Red Devils, who are now in sixth place in the Premier League table with 50 points, are four points behind Arsenal in fourth place, who also have a game in hand. Interim manager Ralf Rangnick is in charge of the team.
Consequently, it goes without saying that with nine games remaining, Saturday's match against Brendan Rodgers' Leicester City on the road at Old Trafford is a must-win for the Red Devils if they are to have any hope of qualifying for next season's Champions League.
The match will be played without the services of star striker Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been forced to sit out after experiencing flu-like symptoms, but Rangnick has named a very strong starting 11 that includes David De Gea, Raphael Varane, Bruno Fernandes, and Jadon Sancho.
Speaking ahead of the crucial match, Rangnick shared his thoughts on how his team can overcome Leicester City, who had won three of their previous four Premier League matches prior to the recent international break.
"They are a team that is always trying to play – they are a technical team," Rangnick said of his opponents.
The importance of finding the best possible balance between being defensive and being as compact as possible while at the same time creating our own moments is emphasized once more by the team.
