Interested parties in Everton wide-attacker Richarlison have been courted by Manchester United for some time.

Richarlison has been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, with the club reportedly interested in bringing in attacking talent to replace the recently departed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Jones, speaking to GiveMeSport on the potential of Arteta signing the Toffees winger, said: "It's something that's been speculated before and, as far as I understand it, it's something that may actually happen in the summer."

Whatever team ends up making a formal offer for Richarlison during the summer transfer window, one thing is certain: if he fails to steer the club to safety, manager Frank Lampard will almost surely lose him for the remainder of the season, leaving a huge vacuum in the team's attacking options.

"I think the burden of wanting to score goals is a natural one for a striker," Lampard remarked recently, according to the Irvine Times, when asked about the amount of pressure placed on the 24-year-old to score goals. I see a player that is hungry, and he demonstrates this in his performance in a significant way.

This is exactly how I'd want it, as I used to be a similar player myself. In a negative sense, I don't believe it is a hardship for the individual.

This is a good burden, and when we get a greater performance from the top end of our pitch, we will start seeing results," says the coach.
From Watford to Liverpool, the 24-year-old South American has played in 143 games in all competitions and has been directly involved in the scoring of 60 goals. His contract at Anfield expires in 2020 and he has two years left on his current agreement.
