Not Ten Hag or Pochettino: Rangnick is a huge supporter of a possible outsider for the Man United job.

Ralf Rangnick, the temporary manager of Manchester United, is apparently a great supporter of Spain coach Luis Enrique.

Rangnick is likely to play a role in assisting Manchester United in selecting their next permanent manager, and it is possible that Enrique is still in the running, according to Todo Fichajes.

The source concedes that bringing in the former Barcelona manager could be challenging, as he will undoubtedly want to take command of Spain's national squad at the World Cup later this year.

According to Fabrizio Romano's tweet below, Erik ten Hag or Mauricio Pochettino are the leading candidates for the post...

Enrique, on the other hand, is a compelling candidate, having done outstanding job during his time in charge of Barcelona, where he won the treble in 2014/15, as well as helping to revitalize the Spanish national team in recent years.

I am interested to see whether Rangnick can make a good case for Enrique as a strong candidate, or if the contest between Ten Hag and Pochettino remains a two-horse race.

After the season ends, Rangnick will take over as interim manager at Old Trafford before transitioning into an administrative position.
