As the club prepares to hire Erik ten Hag as their next manager, Ralf Rangnick has submitted his findings from his time as manager of the Manchester United squad to the club's management team, according to the club.
Despite United's fifth consecutive season without a title, interim manager Rangnick has stated that the club has to "rebuild" its roster. Rangnick will begin working as a consultant on July 1st. Ten Hag is set to be appointed as the next manager of Manchester United, with the club progressing in negotiating terms with the Ajax coach. Rangnick is open to speaking with Ten Hag's successor once his appointment has been confirmed.
Rangnick admitted that his decision on the futures of players was not definitive because it was also dependent on the plans of the next manager for those whose futures are unknown.
According to Rangnick, he has already done so "not with any managers, but with people inside the club." "According to my perspective, the current squad is in need of improvement, and I have informed them of my thoughts.
"Rest of the questions I am unable to address at this time due to the fact that they are also dependent on the incoming manager. In order to find out if he is interested and willing to speak about it, as well as interested in my opinion, I will have to wait and see what occurs.
"No, I haven't [given written findings] on a piece of paper or in writing, but we have discussed our findings with the board on a frequent basis, and they are aware of what I believe has to be done in the summer.
"There will be an Everton press conference, and if the new manager has been revealed, I'd be pleased to talk with him about it.
It will be something that we need to debate in private and internally for the time being, and it is not something that I want to discuss in the news conference before the Everton game."
