A number of European clubs have shown an interest in Tchouameni, a 22-year-old midfielder who has established himself as a regular for Monaco despite his youth.

Erik ten Hag, if chosen manager of Manchester United, will reportedly make Tchouameni his top transfer priority, according to ESPN.

In light of Paul Pogba's impending departure, a midfielder like Tchouameni would be a welcome addition to the Red Devils. The French midfielder’s contract at Old Trafford is set to expire in the summer, and he is yet to secure a new term at the club.

Man United's other target, Declan Rice, costs a lot more than Monaco wants for the midfielder. Monaco wants between €60 and €70 million for the player, far less than Rice.

The Athletic are stating that West Ham want £150m for their star player, thus United may be exploring for other other options, such as Tchouameni to bolster their midfield.

Tchouameni, who has eight France caps to his name, could be interested in a move to the Premier League in order to improve his career there.
