'I'm so confused': Manchester United fans puzzle over Norwich match.

Manchester United play Norwich City at Old Trafford on Saturday, knowing they can't afford to make another mistake against the league's worst team.

Against Norwich, Manchester United's line-up was completely befuddled by Ralf Rangnick's lineup adjustments.

Old Trafford hosts the league's bottom club today in a game that United must win if they hope to stay in contention for a playoff spot. Liverpool are currently six points adrift of Tottenham before of tonight's game, so they must win to have a realistic chance of making the Champions League playoffs next season.

United are at least expected to win today against Norwich after their terrible performances against Leicester and Everton. There is still a chance for the Canaries to stay in the Premier League, though. They went into the game after beating Burnley, which gave them a boost of morale.

United, on the other hand, hasn't been helped by the growing number of injuries that have hit since the international break. Already without Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw, Scott McTominay and Edinson Cavani, Fred became the latest to be ruled out after limping off at Goodison Park last weekend.

That has prompted Rangnick into making changes to his side this afternoon. The United interim boss makes four in total, with Paul Pogba returning to the side in place of Fred.

On the other hand, Diogo Dalot returns to the starting lineup in place of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Anthony Elanga replaces Marcus Rashford, and Jesse Lingard makes his first start since November 2017 after Nemanja Matic was ruled out via injury. Before the game, the sight of United's midfield did little to inspire the crowd.

With their top-four aspirations dwindling, the Red Devils know they can't afford another slip-up this week. The Reds will try to close the gap on Tottenham after their match against Norwich City. They will then travel to play Liverpool and Arsenal in the following seven days.
