Manchester United issued a brief statement in response to anti-Glazer protests.

Protests against the Glazers took place today at Old Trafford.

After chanting anti-Glazer slogans for 17 minutes outside the stadium, a few of fans finally entered the stadium to watch today's game in protest of their 17-year ownership.

Norwich City was defeated 3-2 by Manchester United, but the victory was far from conclusive. Well, there wasn't much to get excited about outside Cristiano Ronaldo's hat trick.

After being booed by the crowd for being substituted, Paul Pogba cupped his ears.

Despite the large number of fans who chose to remain outside the stadium in protest of the Glazer ownership, the stadium was nearly full for kickoff, which says a lot.

In response to the protest, a Manchester United official told BBC correspondent Simon Stone: "We are working hard to create the circumstances for further success on the pitch, while improving our interaction with fans.

It is important to remember that "we respect the freedom of supporters to peacefully express their thoughts and we will continue to listen to them in order to work together in order to get the club back where we all want it: competing for trophies."

The Glazer PR machine is making once more false promises..
